Profile: Account Limits
All posters can maintain two registered accounts on the forum at any given time, however you are not permitted to register more than one account per e-mail address.
If one of your accounts is banned for any reason, your other account must cease activity as well. This means no posting messages in the shoutbox, no public or private messaging, no e-mailing and no posting of any kind on the forums for the duration of the ban. If you are found to be active under another account while one has been banned, you are subject to a permanent IP ban from the forums and/or server.
Profile: Signature Images
All users are encouraged to decorate their signature images as long as they fall under the following guidelines:
1. A user's signature may have one image at a maximum 500 (width) x 400 (height). Anything larger is subject to removal, suspension of signature privileges and/or warning points.
2. Signature images may include up to, but not exceed, fifteen smilies in addition to their banner image.
3. Signature images may not contain offensive imagery of any kind. This includes pornographic imagery, extraordinarily violent imagery, imagery with the intent to flame other members or imagery focused on racial prejudice.
4. Signature images may not endorse or promote, either directly or indirectly, any competitor websites and/or forums.
Profile: Visitor Messages
Users are encouraged to post comments to other members of the forum via the public message system, located on user profiles. All basic forum rules apply to these messages which include:
1. No spamming.
2. No flaming.
3. No advertising.
4. No racial prejudice or discrimination.
5. No excessive profanity.
6. No inappropriate imagery.
Profile: Private Message Rules
Private messaging is a forum privilege that is not meant for abuse. In the past, this feature has been taken advantage of. Please note that all private messages are stored on this server and are backed up daily. Any member of the administration reserves the right to read private messages if any suspicious activity occurs or if any complaints of rule-breaking are received. Rules for private messaging match exactly the rules for visitor messages (see numbers 1-6 in the above section for details).
Posting: Thread Creation and General Posting Rules
Users are encouraged to post new threads at any time they wish. Each user should check to see if individual forum rules have been put into place (or updated) before creating a thread in any section. General rules that apply to all forums in regards to the creation of threads can be found here:
1. Users must have a minimum of two sentences or forty characters to start a thread. Certain exemptions apply when posting YouTube or media links (in their proper sections). General threads that feature little to no thought or that fall under the minimum requirements are subject to closure and/or deletion.
2. If a thread with the same topic already exists whose last post occurred within the past five days, users should reply to that thread. The only exception to this rule is if the first post has dramatically changed in its factual content or if you are creating your own opinionated thread/column.
3. Any threads dealing with problems, questions or opinions related to the NoDQ.com network and its forum must be posted in the "Site Related/Tech Support" section.
The following rules apply not only to the creation of threads, but to ALL general posting on the forum:
4. Users are not permitted to post any form of racial discrimination unless they are posting a news item which contains the remarks.
5. Users are not permitted to post content which depicts violently graphic or upsetting imagery, pornographic imagery or website advertising (this includes repeated mentioning of any competitive sites). In addition, users can not post links to websites or web pages that contain these kinds of material.
6. Profanity is allowed on these forums. However users are asked not to use an excessive amount of profanity in any one post.
7. Minor flaming is allowed only in the "Misc." forum. By minor, we mean that a knockdown comment here and there is allowed. Flaming outside of "Misc.", excessive flaming within "Misc." or flaming specifically directed towards a poster's race, family members or religious beliefs is not allowed.
Please note that the main forum rules are subject to change at any time. Users are expected to be responsible and frequently check the rules section of the forum for these changes. Failure to follow any of the above rules may result in verbal warnings, warning points or infractions; repeat offenses may result in temporary or permanent banning from the forum.
